Blurred vission when looking to the side?

My friend has a problem. When he moves his eyes to one side one eye turns and the other one stays. Like if he looks to the left the left eye turns and the right eye doesn't respond. And if he looks to the right the right eye turns and the left eye doesn't respond. And he got an MRI and they found spots in his brain.... Also when he looks to the side he also gets dizzy ...so does anyone have a clue on what's going on? He doesn't have lazy eye and apparently he doesn't have enough signs for multiple sclerosis. So could someone help? Thanks
