Can you get multiple sclerosis from chronic substance (crack) abuse?

Chronic substance abuse can cause lots of problems, but it's not known for sure if it increases one's risk for developing autoimmune disorders like MS. Considering the toxicity of crack, it's certainly likely, but the human immune system is incredibly complex, so it's unlikely we'll ever know for sure just what causes someone to get MS. Like most things, it's probably a combination of genetic and environmental factors.
