Is P90X a good way to lose weight for a teenager?

Just go for a run 30 minutes..speed walk for 5 minutes to warm your body up than for 20 minutes run in a steady pace you can keep up than for the last minutes try to sprint for as long as you can than walk...also jumprope for 10 minutes straight ..now that will give you a work out to start loosing weight. Or join a gym.
